About Us

The transition from kindergarten to primary school is an important milestone in every child's life. More often than not, caregivers and teachers desire to improve the transition process for children so as to promote better adjustment in a new school environment.

Tran-SEN is a three-year longitudinal study conducted by a team of researchers from the National Institute of Education (NIE) to understand how children with special educational needs (SEN) develop over their first three years of school. Additionally, the study will look at the reasons why children develop differently over the three years of school. Your co-operation and participation in this study will enable us to contribute to the growing research towards understanding the needs of children as they progress through their schooling years.
